Boost question

Since adding a set of Westach guages, I'm currious to find out about boost. Given the same amount of fuel, will more boost (via a boost elbow of some sort) increase EGT, decrease or will it be about the same? Is there such a thing as too much boost? I read that some people are in the mid 40's. I hit 21 or so. I think that's pretty normal for a stock setup, right? Thanks for any info.

More boost help cool EGTs. But this is only good after adding more fuel than stock. Just adding boost won't help at all if you are stock. It justs works the turbo harder.

My truck is stock and 21 is about max for me if I am pulling a grade with the RV in tow, or if I really stomp on it. I'm not an expert, but people who should know tell me this is pretty normal for a stock set up.
