I was going down the hwy today and was gonna put it in Level3 to get a tailgater off my back. I must've double clicked the on/off button and turned it off. Of course I didn't get to smok'em but he passed me anyway.

I left the HOtPE off and while I was going uphill I noticed that my Boost went to 28 psi at WOT.

I figured that even with the HotPE turned off, that the Boost Module that is part of the HotPE must be still working. Is this correct? I also have the Boost Elbow in also.

I've had this box for about 15months, but have never noticed how much boost could be had with it turned off.

Yes even if the box is off the boost module function works.

And with a "spring" on my wastegate to delay it I could turn 25psi with mine off.

That's what I thought. Thanks Kat.

If this Hurricanader will blow over I will go out and see what I can do with a spring also on my wastegate.

Why you wanna mess with a spring on the wastegate? I had to use that because I have the dinky lil HY35 (no elbow to replace). You have the boost elbow which serves the same purpose.

Just wondering what your thinking is all?

Just as a test to see if I can gain any more boost if the wastegate isn't actually staying closed with the Boost elbow installed. It sure is a small hole in the Elbow to keep it from actually opening at all.

The storm wouldn't let up and the Danville Tractor/Truck Pull was cancelled:( I would've liked to have seen if I could've ripped the remainder of my stock clutch tonight. This was a reschedule and they're not gonna have it this year. I guess I'll look for another pull somewhere else.
