I hooked up a edge comp w/out piercing the wire and put the boost elbow in. I'm making about 27 psi of boost with the box on and 25 with it off. Is this about right or should it make more boost than this?

DDII's going in soon also. Will I see more boost when I get the injectors in?

By the way what this box did for my low end power was great!

I've got an 02 automatic, which should not make a difference.

With Ez, DDII's, 4" exhaust, BHAF, I got 38 psi. I did injectors first, so can't answer your other question. But, if you liked the box... you'll love the injectors!

Forgot, I had my DDII'2 presure tested once and found out they were closer to 2. 5's, so Rusty's figures are probably more accurate at around 34 psi.

Good Luck.

If you're running a stock HX35W-12, you really don't want to go over about 34 PSIG boost. Beyond that, you're so far off the compressor map that you're building more heat than mass flow. I notice the gentleman running 40 PSIG with the pump wire pierced is also running an HX40 turbocharger.

Let your conscience (and pocketbook) be your guide. ;) :D

On my Comp-equipped truck (see sig), I display slightly above 32 PSI - the Westach guage gets pretty compressed at the upper end - and that PSI only occurs under max load towing in the hills - it's pretty hard to see maximum boost empty in the flatlands...

unmolested pump wire

With the Comp not hooked up to the injection pump and DDII's I see a max of 33 psi. This is with a turnbuckle to block the wastegate. Sounds like that is where you are headed.

on edit: Had the flu yesterday - lost my head on previous report of 38 psi. Knew it was wrong as soon as I started the truck this morning.
