Boost with the EZ

Thanks to this FORUM, and you guys I,m hooked. I finally went out and bought the EZ box for my truck. (Cant be left behind) I have to say I love it . (Watch out Cheby). Just to make sure it is running right, is 30 pounds of boost what you get with the EZ box?

Good to go !!!

30 psi's of boost is real good with the EZ. When I installed mine when the truck was otherwise stock the best I could make was 28.

Thanks for your reply. I am really happy with the performance you get in just box. I probably wont do much more (Maybe Injectors) because I pull a 12,000 lb. 5th wheel and I dont want to worry about EGT. When my wife drives the truck (not often), she does not look at gauges...

alaterreur, no doubt, there's a alot of bang for the buck with that single box on the ETH, I'd hazard a guess that it's probably the best single HP improvement that could be made to the ETH for the money. Glad you are happy and I forgot to welcome you aboard, WELCOME ABOARD !!!!



Forgot to add... don't even think about adding injectors to the ETH with the EZ already in place and towing 12,000, you will need a new clutch pronto. Unless you had a clutch upgrade in mind. If that's the case, BOMB on !!!

ez box boost

I added a 4" straight through exhaust with a straight through muffler and no resonator. I see 30" + when my foot is in it pulling the big fifth wheel up the hill. Since the guage is pegged I'm guessing that boost is maybe 31 or 32 lbs. Without a load on it peaks between 29 and 30 lbs.



Yours sound fine.

With the BHAF & 4" exhaust, we see about 31-32 PSIG pulling the 5ver uphill (22 PSIG stock). Max EGTs dropped from 1250-1300 degF stock to 1050-1100 degF with the EZ, boost elbow, BHAF & 4" exhaust.

With my ETH, 4"

BHAF, I've seen 34 but that was at low elevation. I'd say 30-34 is right in there.

thats huge... . i only get 26# with B-DOG III's, add a comp box (untapped) and only get 26#. pinch off wastegate hose with vice grips get 30#. if i have a leak i cant hear it as i had a leak once and it sounded like a siren after the whistle started.
