I have an 03 with the edge juice, and was wondering what psi i can see out of the factory turbo, currently i can see 40 at a little over 2k rpms.

I don't think your stock turbo will last at
that boost. mine was 28 with my stock
turbo. Some people run them at 35. and
will have problems in the long run.

i used to run 43 psi reliably, it blew up at 48psi

i dont know if the previous owner did anything to the turbo, but the only thing i have done to the turbo is the boost elbow that came with the edge chip, and unless the monitor is lying to me.

How is the Edge Juice increasing boost pressure on an '03??



Mine with or without Smarty... max boost is 26psi, measured at the CFM+ intake manifold.

Us 03 guys are lucky all we need is a 8 doller elbow to get away with turning up the boost no need for a boost fooler tell the 04. 5 i think. Mine being only a 250so it made 21-22psi stock with the smarty it seems to stay around 32psi maybe 35psi on a nice dry cool day. I have 175k on the truck and have been pushing 32psi for the last 20k. A turbo is my next move so im hoping it holds a little longer i try to give it cool down time when i can and keep the oil fresh.
