I've seen 34 psi for just a moment if I stand on it from a dead stop. As soon as it hits 34 it pulls back slightly to 32 psi.

Engine is bone stock with stock filtration with readings taken on a Westach gauge.

So is it normal for the boost to "spike" and then fall some? My 06 will go as high as 32-33 then drops to the upper 20's. Normal or leak at the gauge?
Ian

Normal to spike and the drop a few psi, the waste gate can take a second to respond to a quick rise in boost pressure. The 40+ readings stated above In am assuming are hit while running the Attitude.

Electronic wastegate on '04. 5 and up might cause the flutuation. Normal cruising you should see ~10psi or less. Towing should be 15 psi on level. Attitude usually reads a couple psi higher than analog gauge.

Thats about normal if youre letting off the pedal, of if youre not going to the floor. . If you want it to stay at 32-33 psi, keep your foot on the floor.

Basically, when you're seeing the pressure drop, its because the load is coming off of the engine.
