Boost

Hi NeedMoPower,

I am seeing about 21-22psi boost with my mods and no smoke, with max temp 850* post turbo. Some haze at WOT.
The shop manual says that the governed RPM for these trucks is a max range of 2850-2950RPM with 2850 being the minimum WOT RPM.
The newer (2nd Gen) run higher and are made that way. I've read that we can run up to about 3000RPM safely. I've adjusted mine up to about 2975 (as far as I can tell)with no problems. It was actually lower (about 2800) before I adjusted it.

37psi and not looking for any more! I already have to replace the U-joints and probably the transmission soon!

About 26 at full load. Have quite a bit of smoke when getting on it. Had the pump rebuilt and set up on the Dyno but ended up about the same boost as before the rebuild.

I know someone has posted this before, but I was just curious as to how much boost everyone was getting out of their 1st gens. After putting in my lucas injectors this weekend, my boost jumped to 35 pounds and egt's can climb to 1300 quickly. I was just wondering what kind of numbers some of you other guys are seeing.
I was also wondering if someone could tell me what the max rpm is on a 1st gen. My truck didn't come with a tach, but it seems the newer trucks have more rpm. Can someone clear this up for me?
