I am one of those that hates a mouse or time wasting clicks to get where I want to go.
If you, as I do, want to immediately go straight to TDR's What's New when the browser opens, then do this.
For Internet Explorer, choose Tools, Options. In the box Address: copy this link and paste it there:
www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/search.php?s=&action=getnew
This will only work if you have cookies turned on and your options for TDR set to cookies. I love it.
I have created other Links for the Favorites too. Like for post a new topic? Right click on the box "Post new topic", choose Copy Shortcut. Click on Favorites, Add new Favorite, name it appropriately (including the forum you are in at the moment) and click ok. Now hover your mouse over that new link, right click again and properties. Replace the link address that is there (it is bogus anyway) and do right click paste.
The last part of the address has a forumid= statement. If you pay attention to what it is for each forum, it is easier to make new shortcuts.
There is an added benefit too. Been reading the posts for a long time?? (my clock runs in hyperspeed while reading TDR)
Just hit ALT-HOME at the same time. Instantly you go to the What's new page and it is updated for you.
