After my second POS OEM shaft is going south, I'm ready to replace it with a Borgeson and would like comments from anyone out there that has installed one.

Also, what was the price?

I just installed one last month, real easy and really firmed up the feel and no more clunk in the shaft when I hit the throttle. Its a little pricy but still cheaper than Dodge. It does what it says it will do so I think its worth it if your going to have the truck for a while, mines got 212,000 on it so ill get my $ out of it

OILBRNR, I bought a Borgeson Steering Shaft about 3 years ago. Very happy with it. Don`t remember how much $$. 300 bucks I think.

Great Borgeson installation text & pis here: http://www.ecpe.vt.edu/~dfritz/technical/STEERING/borgeson/shaft_replace.html

Also see this thread and my answers to Al`s questions. This will help prevent "This @*&)%$# thing doesn`t fit" https://www.turbodieselregister.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/000770.html

One more tip, If I could do it again, I`d paint the Borgeson shaft before I installed it. ( Spray paint) It rusts very quick (surface). Its just bare metal. #ad

I installed one of these steering shafts on my 94' Ram, but was very dissatisfied by the fact it still had a slight "clicking" when I would hit the brake or accelerate from a start. This "Click" could be felt in the steering wheel.

I finally removed it and it is setting in the garage
