Borgeson shaft problem

When i installed borgeson shaft today i noticed it fit loose and sloppy on splines and had some play. Stock shaft fit tight even without pin . Has any one else noticed borgeson fitting more loose than stock shaft?

Not mine--mine fit on the splined shaft fairly snugly. I even gave it a squirt of WD40 to make it easier to get on.



I would give Borgeson a call and ask them about it.

I called borgeson and they told me to send it back, meanwhile i am trying to put stock shaft back on. How do you get rag-joint hooked back up on stock shaft after putting coupler on spline?It fits too tight between shaft and where you hook it to steering wheel part. With borgeson the shaft telescopes to make room, but stock shaft doesn't.

I usually have to use a pry bar of some sort to work on the rag-joint section after having the spline part installed.

My shaft loosened up. I found that I needed to retighten the allen screw. I would also recommend anyone installing these to put anti-seeze on the shaft in the joint. Mine is rusted in place after 1 year of New England winters.
