Has anyone installed the Borgeson steering shaft on their truck? what was the performance before and after the install? i realize it will never be a ferrari, but i have a lot of play in my wheel and i am considering it. thanks
There was a member here that had such a terrible experience with Borgsen that I don't think I would purchase a unit from them. The Flaming River units look a bit better IMO, and the customer service is supposedly much better too.
i bought a borgeson shaft about three years ago. the installation sheet sucked real bad they didn't bother telling you that you had to cut a stub off the end of the steering box shaft so the spline would go on. later shaft worked loose because of mickeymouse set screw clamps. a split clamp would be better! i recently replaced with another borgeson because upper u-joint was clacking in steering wheel. they said they could repair shaft, that would be nice if ididn't drive my truck 60+miles everyday ididn't know about flaming river or i might have tried one
