HTT turbos

My girlfriends little guy is 3 and loves trucks! He wants me to make mine smoke like the other guys:) Wish I had the money to do it:( The first time we took him to the tractor pulls, they had the smoker tractors, and he went nuts... absolutely loved it! He knows a ford from a chevy from a dodge as well. I first met them when I had my jeep and he was about 2 1/2, and he new what a jeep was before anyone even told him:) I like to think of him as my own, and it makes me proud:) We're trying to raise him right... we got a picture of Philip Palmers drag truck on his bedroom wall;)

Have you seen the movie CARS? If not, it is a good one. It may take a GAZILLION MILES to pay for the injectors. Not really in a HURRY to get to work, so I leave a bit early and arrive a bit early. The traffic in DALLAS is NUTZ#@$%! sometime. I also have a 4 year old son that loves to ride in the front seat with me and TALK, HOLD MY HAND AND TELL ME HE LOVES ME AND LOVES BEING WITH ME Oo. Oo. Oo. It is a time not to be in a hurry. He likes to point out the SEMI trucks, very fond of SCHNEIDER trucks, has a special name for them, piekel, piekel, pronounced PEE-KUL PEE-KUL. Can tell a Dodge from a FORD from a CHEVY. To me that is priceless. To be HONEST, TIME/MONEY/MPG, I'll take my TIME to save some MONEY and get a little better MPG. :-laf

BRAVO!! Well said whistleman. There are more important things in life than HP, smoke and speed.

I'm down here in LA visiting my daughter and grandson. Don't really like the city and feel outta place but I wouldn't miss this time with my kids for anything.

Oh... and we drove the Jetta from Idaho... 55mpg at 65mph.

I guess we got off topic here but I had to respond to that post. The guy's got his priorities straight.

Mileage Results

Finished up 3 refills and the mileage is up, but not significantly. With GEEZER driving style on the tank before install, I averaged 23. 07. After install, on 3 tanks, averages were: 23. 12, 23. 32 & 23. 30. Not a great increase, but a small amount of power and no decrease in mileage. Was hoping for more, . 5 or better. Whenever I am able to do some long interstate driving, 200-300 miles, maybe I will get 24. So, for the money would I do it again? I would really have to think about it. If it were all about power, I would have bought bigger injectors. Seeing only an increase of . 25 mpg, probably not.

whistleman,

I see that you have an Airstream... . me too, 1971 Sovereign, fully restored.

Have you towed with the new injectors yet? This what I was planning to do, but if the increase isn't noticeable, why in hell waste the money, especially being in the military and poor, ya know?

Airstream Towing

No towing as of yet. Had a water problem with the trailer. Hope to in the next few weeks. It is a slight bit peppier. It's just a 235hp/460ftlb. 2000 6-speed. Seems peppier than my 2001 H. O.

Yeah, well that's the problem... . I had been planning on either a Smarty or a Quadzilla XZT+... . then I read about Gary-K7GLD's horrible experience with Smarty, and now I've read about Quad's not so great customer service people who work for him... . I don't want to spend my hard earned money and risk getting a crappy product and even crappier customer service. I know that the majority of customers are satisfied with both products, but I don't want to end up being one of the minority... . know what I mean?
