Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Bosch 300HP injectors

I have a chance to buy a set of NEW Bosch 300 HP injectors for my 01 HO.



Any comments? Will they work ok? $275 Will these cause the throttle to be touchy or the cruise to hunt?

I put them in my 99 Dually 5 spd. Touchy throttle? Not really, but it does make so much power that I have trouble getting it to hook up in the rain. No surge or hunt just alot more power than I had, especially since I had a misfiring injector before.

Thanks! I decided to get them, atleast they come as a matched set.



Now to decide if I want a Van Aaken or TST PowerMax or Diesel Dynamics True Torque... Decisions decisions...



Of course the Con O clutch will have some say :-laf

I also have been considering a power box but I have read some nasty threads regarding head gasket failures when used with towing. Just be careful.

Good point. I tried an Edge EZ and thought it had too much timing advance for the HO. Made a real wicked engine buzz / vibration below 2000 RPM. I also plan to limit the boost to 30PSI. I have the Van Aaken (loaner) on right now, very smooth and definately a boost in HP but have the 300's to go in yet. From what I gather it's high boost or timing advance that is taking out the head gaskets :-{} The TST was found hiding under the carpet :-laf They must have forgot to take it out.

i think head gasket failures are more of a combination of timing and high boost... that said if your blowing head gaskets with just an ez and 275's. (300hp one in the same) Then you probably have another problem.

If I understand it correctly, the TST only affects fueling NOT timing. Dont know about the Van Aaken.



I have never blown a headgasket and dont want to That is one reason I limit the boost to 25-30PSI.



Any idea if the Van Aaken advances the timing?

The Van Aaken is a timing box, just like the EZ.
