Just noticed today on the way to work that both my front and rear driver side speakers are out. Initially thought that the wires runing through the door jamb areas just broke (already had a splice one to the rear speaker on that side a couple of years ago) however while there is no music coming out of them there is a audible hiss that is coming out of them when I run the balance all the way to the left.

other then this the stereo (after market rockford fosgate) is working fine.

Before I start looking for a break in a wire anyone have any other ideas (odd that there is a hiss and no music).

Thanks

It was acutally a bad plug for my sirius radio that was cutting out ( I have my siruis receiver hard wired to radio). Speakers are fine and new cord fixed it.

Speakers in my 98 are acting up too. Both left side speakers are very faint and poor sound. I've replaced the speaker to test and nothing changed. I guess I need to trace wiring and find the bad connector or wire.
