Automatic transmission Problems/Any Ideas

I currently have a BD plate, #6, and have adjusted the star wheel about 20 clicks. I have lots of power in 4th and 5th but the bottom end is not very spunky. Any idea on what to do. Due to the extreme cold in Winnipeg all I ever see is white smoke so I don't know how much more I can go on the star wheel.

What you are recomending by sliding the whole housing forward is as simple as it sounds. Loosen off the 4 bolts that hold the housing on and move it forward? These are the same ones I removed when installing my TST kit? Never really looked, but I didn't know the housing was adjustable. Guess it will only take a minute. I'll give it a shot, because I have quite a lag when starting from a standstill and before boost comes up.

Swamp Donkey,
The distance on the AFC housing from all the way back to all the way forward is very slight, but it makes a big difference. You could play with the star wheel after the move to strike a happy medium between low end power and smoke control. After pushing the housing forward, if low end still feels sluggish and you are not getting much smoke, turn the star wheel toward the engine some more till the low end feels good.

I will be giving the housing slide a try soon. Thanks for the suggestions. By the way, what is the logic in moving the AFC housing? I don't understand.

Thanks again.

its a more drastic adjustment for pre boost throttle. basically when you put your foot down its what stops it until it makes boost, this allows for much more fuel but its easily controlable with your foot.
