Piers is the greatest. With his help I have got the adjustment for the governer spring kit right on the money
My boost is up 1 - 2 PSI (to 39 -40), It now idles better than ever (at a lower RPM), It runs up to 4000 + RPMs (thats is as high as the tach goes), abd the EGT raise slower.
He has an awesome deal on injectors this month. I couldnt resist.
Due to bank mergers, I ended up using a credit card that had been victim to one of these mergers. Louise (I believe was her name) called me back numerous times to get this straightened out. ( I didnt realise the original card was no good any more. How embarrasing. ) Just goes to show how often I use my card.
Well Don, now that Matt has said he'll post pic's for me, I'll take a couple shots of the key adjustment & get him to put em up here. But ya gotta promise to keep it "TOP SECRET"
Bill I've tried several times to return your call, but the operater keeps telling me it's not a long distance call Maybe I wrote it down wrong I dunno. Give me a call back
I know I could do a little tinkering to my truck. Idle is a little rough, and sounds like it is missing quite bad at lower rpms. I put in the gov springs and 370's in at the same time and never took the time to jump back in and adjust things.
I can understand the instructions. Pictures are great! Also a TST #6 is a good choice for your example! Just have to find some time to do this now... .....
Thanks to Piers for the info. Sounds like this is the very problem I have been having since installing my plate earlier this year. I hope to try this adjustment this weekend!
Looking forward to meeting Piers and others at the Texas Rally in September.
And if you drop the 10mm socket down inside the pump, like I did last weekend you'll need a pencil type magnet on a flexable shaft, at least 1' long. It drops down right under the adjuster & stays at the back of the pump.
