With the snow the Northeast got this week my back door froze shut, after yanking it to get it open I noticed I had pulled the rubber strip that had frozen to and was still attached to the rocker panel off the bottom of the door.
The rubber strip seems to be in good shape, none of the holes tore out. But the plastic fasteners that secure it to the door got pretty messes up by me trying to pull them out of the door.
I reused all the old fasteners to reattach the rubber strip except one that the head pulled off., but I do not think they will hold up very long the way they are.
So my question is where can I buy new fasteners to replace the old ones. I checked Geno's but found nothing. Last resort would be the local Ram dealership.

Thanks for the link, that looks promising. I will just have to pull one of the fasteners and do some measuring to match up to the right size.*
As you said the dealer would probably want to sell the whole assembly for some Big $$$$ figure.

OK * .... * Might be worth checking the dealer, did you buy yours in the USA or in Switzerland that may make a difference.

Here you go, about $13.00 or so list price. Left and Right are the same part number...I used Seth's Vin from his '04 Quad Cab, that should be the same...

Local ******* Price including State Tax $34.98. Ohh Well, I order the part and was told it will be in about a week.

Holy Moly!! What are they doing???

Never mind, I believe it has been superceded. I'm surprised that my OEC program didn't show that.

Looks like it is now 55277218AA. That's one thing I don't like about the OEC, little pesky details like the above don't show up sometimes until someone actually orders one.

So what really happened is that Daimler used up all that they had. Then they went with a different vendor and ordered less where it is a non-production item. As a result the part number changes and the price per each goes up.

Did you dealer try the locator to see if other dealers had the old number???

This dealer in Florida claims to have them, I would call and make sure.....http://www.factorymoparparts.com/oe-mopar/55359868aa?origin=pla

Yes that is the new part number that is on my invoice. I do not know if he checked other dealers or not. At this point I have already paid for the part so I will just wait for it to come in.*
