Thanks for the idea, Bob, I'll check when I get time. Still love my smarty and I would never trade it. I am just mad it took me so long to get one! I was just going to wait and update when revo comes out. But I'll see what I am running now!
 
Well, its been about 2 weeks with the smarty. Is there another update for the 03's to make more power?

I know the SAC members will jump out of the woodwork on this comment, but I just don't think the smarty puts the power down like the diablo did. To be quite honest, I think the mp8 on it's own is close! What also amazes me is how the diablo, on extreme rkl puff, and the ts mp8 on 100% would still not hit 1300 degrees. Yet, on SW9 I can hit 1450-1500 going from 0-90mph. And, no, fuel pressure is not an issue.

The smarty is a nice, well built, smooth power unit. But the top end charge feels a little weak.

Is there ever going to be a hotter program for us 555 guys?
 
Hey guys, is the new download out yet? I have my s-06 set to the highest settings and am looking for more. Is this new download (the tnt) on the mads site yet? How much more power is this going to be over the last best setting, which I believe was the race setting maybe??? Let me know, I'm anxious to try it out. Thanks

Not to hijack the thread but I jsut dl the latest software from mads site and it seems my egt's have increased about 200 degrees. I have the s-06 smarty and I am running the stock injectors and aftermarket turbo with moderate TM. SW version S06V411BD311B47



I updated the smarty from the from the program that is loaded out of the box. Should I try the mild TM software or is there another problem? The truck seems to run fine and there is no access smoke at idle, just when it is stomped on (but that is the norm for smarties) is anyone else seeing something like this?
 
I'm not sure on what the rail pressure does with the smarty on the tunes you are running but from what I have seen with my MP-8 it does help bring egts down. its alot of fun stacked with a smarty jr and it rare I see my egts over 1150.
 
Smarty sucks. Even the name is lame. Bullydog had better programming 4 years ago, get with the program people. My Crazy Larry Bullydog was hotter than any Smarty setting. Put a TST on with a programmer such as BDDL or PPE, stacked with a fuel pressure box and that's it, triple stack it! THE SMARTY IS OVERRATED! If your a redneck and you want useless black smoke buy a smarty!



When the heck are we going to get EFILive!!!!!!!!!!? Time to buy a Chevy. Better truck anyway, it took Dodge this long to get a real transmission, Chevy had it 5 years ago!!! 5 speed Allison, and Im stuck with a 4 speed piece of crap like starting out in 2nd gear!

What do you need that onstar for? Crash a lot? Can't remember to take your keys with you? Don't know where your are going? Since you hate your Dodge so much I'll give you $70 bucks for it... actually $35 for the truck and $35 so you can be on TDR next year to complain about your truck then too. Also I just wanted to point out that your truck is less than 5 years old... why didn't you buy the awesome 5 speed Allison then? Ok, I'll give you another $35 for your hood when you get rid of the Dodge. :)

That is untrue... If you stack a pressure box with a box like smarty or tst that does duration and timing it will actually decrease egts compared to running the tst alone... :)

Once I get my truck back from the dealer from the balljoint repair, I will return her back to stock and keep an eye one the egt's. Then I will try the mild TM Aftermarkter turbo and stock injectors.



One other thing I forgot to mention. While I am IDLE, looking at my tst egt gauge, I will notice the Temps going UP instead of going down when I first come to a stop. After a few seconds, they will drop back down. Any one else see something like that?

This is a Smarty thread, but you are incorrect:), I have proven this to myself, over and over.



I am currently running my EZ on 2, with any combination of TST or Smarty, if I raise the EZ to 3 , egt's jump almost 200*, if I set the EZ on 4, it will bury my pyro(1600+)



Anybody wants to ride with me, I will prove it!



On Edit: The higher the setting on the EZ, the more power, right?

Then why do you believe the people that are running the TST/EZ

stack are keeping the EZ to 2, 3 max.

You could argue that they are worried about excessive pressure,

in reality, it is because egt's get out of control. Anybody with an

EZ can test it themselves.
