Man am I pumped tonight. My wife and I drove to the dealer after I got home for work. The salesman took my trade for a drive with the sales manager and when he came back he was ready to deal. He knocked about 7k off the sticker and then gave me 2k for my '92 Caddy which needed some repairs. I said that sounds like a deal and the finance guy drew up the papers. We paid him our down payment, got our tag transfered, cleaned out the Caddy, and drove off into the sunset. It's a light almond pearl metallic 2500 4x4 CC with a 6sp, 3. 73s, towing package, limited slip, power mirrors, and a rear slider. We took it for a good drive on the way home and it was a blast. Now I can finally understand that new truck feeling. I can't believe that DC made a truck with so much power, which is so refined and quiet. I miss some of the rattle but the exhaust note and the turbo whine sound real sweet. I'll post a couple of photos tomorrow. Oo. Oo. Oo.

I don't think they should have named the color "Light Almond"... In my opinion the name does not do the color justice...

By name alone I'd never pick the color, but when I finally saw one, I think it looks great!

Congrats!

Yeah, light almond sounds pretty wussy and it looks terrible on the internet. I love the look in person though. I would prefer "Sunfire Metallic" or "Bright Champagne. "

Bartlett, I had a handy pile of bricks beside the garage:D

Congratulations,

FWIW I am still excited about my truck after owning is for 6 months now. Hope you will be to.

As far as the noise goes, I'm one of the guys that thought I'd really miss it, but I've found that the throaty exhaust note and turbo noise are more noticable on the new truck and I'd have a hard time going back now.

Cheers

Dave
