This may be a little early to ask this question. I just replaced my shocks with the RSX17000, but I still have a bounce from the backend when I hit a bump. It does a quick 3-5 quick bounces then quits. I have not looked yet, but would a shackle bolt broke cause this type of bounce. It bounces so quick and then stops.

H'mmm... no takers.

This topic is being tossed over the cyber-wall into the 2nd gen truck forum. Since it fits the topic there, it may get more answers.

Thanks

Mark

I can't tell by your description if your bounce is unusual.

Most these trucks (especially with overloads) will bounce when unloaded. Velvet ride shackles might help a little, carrying around 2000 lbs of sand or cement blocks will help too. Don't know if this helps though.

I slid under the truck the other night for a look see and I didn't find anything that was out of place. When I shook the body up and down, it seemed to be some play somewhere, maybe in the first 1/2" of the shocks then it stopped. But once I put a load on the truck, the ride smooths out? Where can I get the velvet ride shackles and what do they do??
