2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Brake adjusting

While doing my adjustment I noticed the spring above the star wheel on the passenger side is not making contact. Do I need to take the wheel off?

I don't think the spring actually touches the star wheel but rather the auto adjusting lever. The spring hooks to the lever. You probably need to get a flashlight and see if the adjuster and spring are still there. It they are still in place you should be ok. bg
