Recently, the red e-brake and yellow abs light in the dash both came on and stay on all the time. This is the late 2001 with 4-wheel disc. Everything works fine, brakes feel normal, smarty doesn't show any codes. Any ideas?

My '99 3500 Dually has the same problem. Pack rats chewed the wire harness on the right front sensor (ate a 6" section completely gone). Left front sensor was "forgotten" by the brake shop the previous owner went to. No sensor at all. I spliced the wires back together for the right front sensor, but need to get a left front sensor. Anybody know of a good cheap source for these? Thank you.

Stuart

I had the same problem with mine. It was the the sensor on top of the rear differential . I have a 99 . Don't know if it's the same or not.

Mine was the ABS control module. Scanner showed "open relay" and code could not be cleared. All relays and fuses checked OK. Having to spend about 500 big ones for the mod sucked :{
