... started messing with me yesterday on the road. Sometimes they will light up right away, other times I must push the brake pedal. AND sometimes hitting the brake pedal shuts them off!!!! #@$%! Remember on my 97 it was a bad sensor thingie in the rear diff, are these trucks the same or is something else going on?

Sounds like an intermittent wheel sensor to me. I think it's still in the diff out back.

Anyone know for sure, been a bit since I was under there. Damn driveway is just too damn hot now to go lay on!

my 06 was doing the same thing so i read my 03 service manual and found that if the red brake light and the yellow abs light are on at the same time that its a failure of the ebpv or electronic brake proportioning valve. located in you're abs module. what i did was check every connection. its a 3 channel so theres a sensor at both fronts and center of rear diff. then i checked the connection at the abs unit reinstalled and all been well ever sense. remember the bus is only 5 volts and milliamps to set a code you don't need much resistance in a connection hope this helps some

the sensor at the rear diff is also the speedo sensor if your speedo isn't jerking around then check the other sensors. Sometimes just dust will cause it to throw a code.
