Brake and ABS lights

My brake and ABS lights are on. The brakes seem to work OK. They came on for a few minutes, went off for a few miles then came on steady. I had just completed 400-500 miles of dusty, dirty, rock and gravel roads. I can't see anything wrong under the truck. Is there anything I can check before I take it to the experts?

If brakes seem to work ok probably the abs sensor. had the same thing happen to me on my 99. abs sensor about $30 at ******* installs in the rear end. with you low millage seems to me ******* should fix under warrenty???

Does your speedo work under 15 to 20 MPH? If not then it is most probably the ABS sensor in the rear axle. Easy to fix but as mentioned above. With that low milage take it back to chrysler and make them fix it.



Also check to make sure the plug on the sensor is seated firmly.

The speedometer seems to work OK down to zero. The plug looks good. It is definitely under warranty. It is 3 or 4 hours wasted to go to the dealer so I wanted to be sure that it wasn't something I could fix myself.
