Guys,
Here is the problem. Just replaced steering box with NAPA rebuild. Old original box (244,000 miles) started leaking. Installation was no problem and straight forward. Bled the box according to instructions with the new box (lift front end off ground, turn wheel lock to lock 20 times). Started truck to move out of garage for test drive and no brakes or power steering. Vacuum hose from vacuum pump collapses (did not before the replacement). The lines to the box cannot be swapped they are two different sizes. I am thinking I have another problem. Could the box cause this? I need the truck this week end.:{:{:{:{:{

Ok, after looking at the manual the only thing the vacuum pump does is (I think) to provide vacuum for the HVAC system and has nothing to do with power steering or brakes. The vacuum line collapse may have been there and I didn't notice before. The line does look like it is deteriorated. I will replace it. So that still leaves me with no brakes or power steering. Any help will do.

Also the power steering pump was replaced last month with one from Genoe's. No problems with it the last month or so.

Guys,
All is well! walked away for a while to clear my head. Redid all steps from the beginning. Found I did not check my fluid level properly during bleeding process. Added fluid bled it properly and am back in bidness! Also replaced the vacuum line. Happy camper am I!
