I also have a Prodigy brake controler and I mounted mine on small square area under the light switch. Remove 2 screws under the knee pad under the steering and lay it aside. With the left door open you well see sort of and oval pad on the left side of the dash. With a small flat screwdriver ease it under the pad and gently lift if out of the way. Once the it has been removed there is 2 screws that holds the left side to knee pad that goes around the e-brake release. I mounted my Prodigy using the slip in mount. I mounted the slip in mount directly to the dash. The I run the wires through the opening where the e-brake release is and most of the wires will be hid. I've found this works quiet well. Hope this helps.

Sorry Big Bob

I don't have any photos. but it was the best place I could find to be out to the way and be where I could reach it to make any adjustments. I just the mounted the slipin holder that came with the controler to the dash with black screws. Since I plan to keep the truck for a number of years I didn't mind 2 small holes.

I mounted mine in the hole where the ashtray used to be. I can pop out the ashtray assembly and mount the sheet metal bracket to the top of the opening. The unit is ready at hand, if I need to make any adjustments or manual application of the trailer brakes. If I remove the bracket, I can replace the ashtray and the two holes don't show. I have a manual transmission and the unit is not in the way at all. I haven't been able to post pictures, but if you e-mail me at -- email address removed -- I will be glad to send some pics of my installation. BTW, you will love this controller.

I got the Prodigy. Local camper store had it on sale for the same price as I could have ordered it with 2 day shipping. I saw one on the Amazon site, but had 5 days left with a price of $85. I doubt it will stay that price to the end.

The 04s, the ashtray assembly, not to be confused with the lift out tray in there, can be popped out rather easily by feeling for a small rectangular hole on the top right of center of the whole thing. Put the tip of your finger in that hole and pull out and the whole thing comes out. It can be put right back in easily. Behind there is a large opening that you can pass the plug through for the unit.

If you go to the actual auction on Amazon.com you can "Take It Now" for $82. 99.

For some reason this link isn't workin so I will give you directions.

If you get the "Browser Bug" window, go to the bottom of it and click on "Home Page",

Then under "Search" with "Auctions" in the pull down, type "Prodigy", then scroll down to the Tekonsha Prodigy and click on one of them, the auction will come up and if you look on the right you will see a "TAKE IT NOW" for $82. 99. Yahoo we make it!

Hope this helps!
