'99 2500 that did not come with the factory 7 pin wiring. Mopar Trailer Tow Harness K6858192 was installed years ago, but the blue wire for the trailer brakes was never connected. The 4 wire connector under the dash near the parking brake is there and is live, it powers up the controller and the controller sees input from the brake pedal. The add-on mopar harness has the parking light relay built into it. Here's the question... .
I've located the blue wire running back to the 7 pin connector, it's taped up under the hood, but I also have 2 open ended wires (both have female spade connectors on them) in the loom going to the parking light relay, one goes into the relay and the other is going to a plug on the firewall. So, I have 3 unconnected blue wires that are part of the add-on Mopar harness. I understand that the trailer brakes will work if i just tie the controller to the wire going back to the 7-pin, but what were the other 2 wires intended for?
