Gasoline In Fresh Water Tank

Dodge is number 3

I had a problem with the magnet on one of my trailer brakes. Because I didnt have time to order the part, I just had the guy remove the magnet so the wheel would free wheel (I still have brakes on the other 3 wheels. Well, when I hooked the TT up to my truck, now the light on the brake controller doesnt come on. All of the trailer lites work. At first, only the left trailer and truck brake would work. Even when I disconnected the trailer cable, only one lite worked on the truck. But, I turned on the key, and now both lites work on the truck, key or no key. I hooked the trailer back up, and both brake lites now work. But still no lite on the brake controller.

Any ideas ?

Thanks,

Question -- what did he do with the ends of the wires when he removed the brake magnet. If he didn't insulate the hot wire, then you could have a short, of if he didn't close the circuit by reattaching the wire correctly, you could have open circuits to the other brakes.

I had to take my brothers 06 out for a ride behind my Dodge to see if a problem he was having was his truck or his camper. when I plugged in the wires my green light on the controler would not come on. It was corosion in his connector, just scratched it up, plugged it back in and problem went away

He just left the wires open. Thus, no green lite on the brake controller. I looked at it this morning and tried shorting the wires together (thinking there probably isnt much resistance in the magnet) Green lite came on, but would not turn red when I stepped on the brakes). So, I just wired back in the bad magnet and tied it up under the axle. Now the green lite comes on, and goes red when I step on the brake. However, any brakes that are there are really weak (if anything at all). Im guess Im going to have to see if they just need to be adjusted, or if I need a complete new brake job

This happened to a friend of mine. He adjusted the trailer brake gain, way too much which also slowed the tow-vehicle. (Thinking he's saving the brakes on his truck) Trailer didn't need new brakes yet, but they were out of adjustment. We adjusted his trailer brakes, and upgraded to the Prodigy unit. So far, everything works fine.
