I finally bought an electronic brake controller (Tekonsha Prodigy) It came with a harness which is supposed to plug in somewhere, Where the heck does it go? THe plug under the dash which I always assumed was the brake harness plug isnt even close to the same shape (I know I have the Dodge harness, because it has the same plug as the "pigtail" harness that came with the truck. Damn, I thought this was gonna be easy!

since you posted in the 12v section i will assume you have an older truck. in that case the plug is attached to the side of the fuse block under the dash between the e brake pedal and the steering column.

don't feel bad they are hard to spot while impersonating a contortionist doing a hand stand. :D

keep looking..... its there once you find it you wont believe you were staring at it the whole time :D

Hard to answer when we don't know the year of your truck.

My '95s had a bundle of wires labeled brake controller, no plug, in-between the steering column and heater controls. Beware if you have to splice wires, absolutely none of the Dodge wire colors connect to the same color on the Tekonsha.

Good point Larry, i forgot about that.

if your truck does not have the Trailer Tow package IE rear sway bar (in 97 and UP models), overload springs, HD flasher and Brake Controller connector----- then you wont have a brake controller connector

if you need to wire for the connector read up on this link. http://dodgeram.org/tech/mods/electric/trailer_wire.htm there are several good posts including one from Dr. Joe :D man i have to say this, that guy is border lining anal :D he greased his trailer hitch bolts to get a proper torque reading :D not even "I" do that. and i have been accused of being the poster child for ARD.
