Does anyone have a picture of where the brake controller plugs into on a 2004. 5 Cummins?

The plug has a positive on one end, and a negative on the other end, and 2 wires in the middle.

I was looking forward to installing the brake controller this weekend, but my directions aren't very good

thanks in advance

It should be behind the driver's side kick panel. The plug end is blue in color. I'm doing mine this weekend as well. Mike

No pictures but if it is anything like a 2005 it is to the left of the steering column way up under the dash. VERY hard to see. It is wraped in black tape against other wires. Take the plastic panel off that is to the left of the steering column and below the light switch. The wire plug is up there. Hope I didn't confuse you. I think you have to have the trailer package from the factory in order to have the connection.

On my 2005, I got to it without taking anything off, but if someone hadn't told me what to look for I probably wouldn't have found it. But yes, under the drivers dash by the kick panels, up about 8 inches. There is a cluster of wires taped together. You are looking for the blue connector, which is (unfortunately) tape at the top of the bundle and hard to see. You may have to cut the tape to get enough access to get the plug out.

Here's a picture showing location of connector. It also shows the part number for the Dodge harness adapter you'll need to connect to the Prodigy wires. If you need any more info, let me know.

OK fellas, I found the plug, after some digging. thanks a lot

now the next dilemma--where to mount the brake controller?

I dont want anything in the way of my legs, and the steering wheel is kind of in the way if you want to mount it up high on the right or left hand side

again, thanks, I definately could not have found that little bugger by myself

Here is where I put my Prodigy. I wanted it out of the way of my legs, and accessible to my wife in case I need it adjusted or the brakes on the trailer applied manually while I drive.

It's not the most convenient to operate, but I tow about 1/10 of the time I'm driving the truck, and even then rarely have a reason to touch the controller. I liked this location as it wasn't as obtrusive and I actually used an existing screw to hold it in.

(dang, is my carpet really that dirty already???)
