brake controller

maybe this has been answerd before but i just wired my brake contoller in on my 01 2500 quad cab sport it has the harness that plugs into a connector under the dash i canot seem to get any power and after checking fuses they seem to be ok . is ther a fuse that i am not seeing ?

There should be a slot in the fuse box under the hood for the hot lead to the trailer, install a 30 amp fuse in it and you should get power to the controller.

is this the 30 amp square fuse or is it a blade fuse?

Not sure, it should square. Check in your owner's manual, or look in side the cover and it will list all the fuses and where they are. Look for electric brakes or trailer supply.

ok the fuse is good i did find out that the tekonsha controllers dont lite up unless they are hookd to a good working brake system
