I've left our truck sitting for weeks (and it's a POS 6. 0h no) without any problems with a Prodigy in it.

Jengle, How do you get the entire ashtray assembly out of there? Does the entire radio faceplate need to be removed? I like that installation. I use a Tekonsha Commander. Bought it in 1991. Works like a bad dog. Quite the antique by todays standards.....

Never a problem with my Prodigy and current draw. Both trucks would start after sitting for days.

Hey everybody,

I wanted to buy a Prodigy and couldn't source one quick enough in an emergency a couple months ago. I ended up with Reeses top of the line brake controller as that was the only half decent one available locally (stuck in the boondocks). I only had to run a couple hundred more miles with the trailer and have yet had an oppurtunity to test it out (in Iraq... too far away from my Ram ). Has anyone had any experience with it and is it good enough that I shouldn't worry about buying a prodigy until needed? So far the heaviest I have towed was only about 7800 pounds and don't plan on going any heavier (with this truck anyway). Let me know what ya'll think. I'd rather save the money on other goodies for the truck :-laf .
