What is safe to tow ???

Well, seems like the wd-40 is holding its own. I like it because it sinks in and there are a thousand uses for it. I guess having an rv would make one buy stock in the company and keep plenty on hand. Don't remember who told me about the moisture thing, must not be true. . thanks for the help.

Good thread. I have a prodigy which works OK with my smaller, lighter trailer. My old Alfa was scary to tow.

BrakeSmart sounds good. I assume it works OK with the ABS?

Where are you guys mounting the brake controllers on the newer trucks.

I'll be picking up my new '09 2500 crew cab long bed with 4. 10 on Sat. :)

It will work fine with ABS... ... ... ... ... .

Yup, works fine with ABS since it taps the line at the master cylinder ... .

Here is a pic of my mount. Used 3M automotive double tape so no holes :)

I would put it where you can comfortably operate it. When I had a manual trans I put the brake controller to the left of the steering colume, now that I have an automatic, I've got on the right in the floor console where it is easy to see and reach.

Dutch and I decided the best place for our brake controller was on the right side of the steering column on the upslope of our dash a little able knee level. The main reason we have put our controllers there, is a safety issue. If something should happen to the driver, the passenger would have easy access to the panic button. Diana
