Gooseneck ball removal question?

towing 1200 miles have Q

I'm in the market for a better brake controller than my old cheapo one.

I've seen a few different brands on here but I know as much about brake controllers as I do about rocket science.

What would you guys recommend?

TIA

Nathan

I've used the time-based (Reese Brakeman II), inertial (Tekonsha Sentinel) and true proportional (Jordan Ultima 2020), and the Jordan is head and shoulders above the others.

Since I bought the Jordan, the BrakeSmart controller has come into the market. It's intrusive (it taps into the brake system hydraulics) and more expensive (more than double the price of the Jordan), but it has the potential to be the best out there. I'm waiting for some feedback from Ken Lenger and others who have used the Jordan and are switching over to the BrakeSmart before I make the jump from the Jordan, which works just fine!

I ordered a Jordan but have not recieved it yet. What I have read sounds really good. My truck has a plug with it so I will not have to tap into the existing wiring, it is already prewired. I did not want to mess with taping into the brake lines either. I found the Jordan on Ebay for $20 less than from the manufacturer. Good luck with your decision Nathan.

I am happy with my Prodigy but am waiting for an evaluation from Ken Lenger on the Brakesmart before I change over to it. I like the fact that the Brakesmart is directly proportional to the hydraulic pressure.
