I just replaced the rear brake cyn. with the ones from napa, I bled the brakes out now have abs and brake light on. If I have to re-bleed the lines again do I have to do the front also? The peddle is not spongy and the rear brakes seem to come on quicker. Thanks in advance Al Mendes

Al,

What year is your truck? Do you have four wheel ABS? If it's only RWAL just bleeding the brakes should do away with the light. I usually bleed all of the wheels if I do anything to the brakes that involves fluid.

Thanks Joe I have a 99 2500,I don't know if I have 4 wheel abs. Should I bleed all 4 or just the rear brakes to turn off abs light and brake light. Al

I kind of know about earlier 12 valve setups. I'm not sure about the setup you have. I would bleed the whole business starting with the closest wheel. I don't know if you have to trick the electronics. Maybe someone who has had this problem on a '99 will chime in.
