Brake Fluid

I know this was covered awhile back, but i cant find it anywhere. What brake fluid are you using in an 01' Ram? I just sucked out my master cylinder and replaced it with fresh DOT 4. I dont see why there would be, and i know its kind of pointless to ask now since i already did it, but that IS what i was supposed to use, right? Thanks in advance

Did you bleed the wheels also. It's a waste to replace the fluid if ya don't. Gotta clean it out of the lines. The fluid will work.

I agree. If you don't flush the system, their is still moisture or contaminates in the lines.

I actually bought some Valvoline Dot 3/4 synthetic brake fluid. I got it at Walmart, although I believe they stopped carrying it. I did see some at an Autozone. As for bleeding the brakes, I did all 4 corners after sucking the old fluid out of the master cylinder and replacing with fresh. For a truck that was 2 years old at the time, I was amazed at the emulsification that came out of the lines.
