brake ? for friend

a friend has a 01 2500 HD chevy gasser and has been getting different views about what brake pads he should get. he has been told that the HD should have different pads. he was wandering if anyone here has any thoughts as to what pads you have had good luck with and if you had heard anything about these "special" bakes. he thinks it is a loud of you know what.

i agree a good set of pads is a good set of pads. you get what you pay for
