Tonight a buddy of mine told me I had no brake lights or turn signals. Also, he said that the drivers side cab brake light is burnt out. Could that bulb being burnt out cause the rear brake lights not to work along with the turn signals. All bulbs appear ok, fuses are good. Inside the cab the dash turn signal arrows work as they should. Any thoughts. I guess I will buy a new bulb tomorrow and keep my fingers crossed. I hate wiring problems!

rats!!!!!!!!

Well, I replaced the bad cab brake light with the cargo light and now both cab brake lights work but still no brake or turn signals. tail lights work but no hazards either.

Do the front turn signals work? The turn signals and brake lights in the rear use the same filament (the bulb has one for tail lights, the other is brake/turn signal). It sounds like the wiring harness might be damaged. I don't have the shop manuals yet so I can't provide too much detail on where the wires are. It might not be as bad as you think.

Sounds like the harness going to the back of the truck is damaged. Maybe someone with wiring diagrams will see this post and chime in.

boy do I feel stupid

Well, as it turns out both bulbs were just burnt out. The filament looked ok but apparently they were still bad.
