Archived Brake Line Replacements

Blew a Hard Metal line Yesterday, to Left Rear Wheel. Was only 5 miles from home so its setting in my driveway. I need to get back on road ASAP. I want top replace all of the hard metal lines! Any suggestions: Will do it myself and would like to know who has done it and who offers a user friendly set of lines. Also, any bleeder friendly suggestions?
Is S/Steel a good choice of lines also?

Is the line corroded from road treatment chemicals...??

Definitely a no go on stainless steel. Almost impossible to work with. I highly suggest buying a roll of this stuff.

It is very easy to work with and is corrosion resistant. It will be the last time you ever have to worry about brake lines on your truck. I can buy it here locally so check with your local parts houses to see if they have it.

Check out some you tube videos on bleeding brake lines using a Mity-Vac. It is a one man operation. Good opportunity to change out all your brake fluid. If you are looking for pre-made/bent
replacements then SS is great.

You can get a full brake line replacement kit in SS from EGR Brakes.

I have the first kit from them and not a problem for ten years.

Bought a complete set from Finelinesinc., and I did go with SS lines. Don't live very far from them so went and picked them up. I dont have a lift so had them put on at a shop close to home. Glad I did - no muss no fuss and I'm driving the truck. Gettin too old for that project !!
