Took my truck to the brake shop this morning. I've put 43,200 miles (mostly stop-n-go city drivin') on the rig in the 23 months since I drove it off the dealers lot. Brake-guy replaced my front pads and said they had maybe 5% left on them and my rears had 50% so he left those alone. Power-bled the system and away I went!!!

In 23 months the only two issues are a blown tail light bulb (just last week in fact... ) and having the front door seals replaced with the modified pieces.

Man-and-boy... I am happy with this truck! I hear ya'll's horror stories and kiss my front-bumper and knock on my wooden-head... I'm one happy-driver! No lift-pump issues... no strange noises... no funny smells... no faulty A/C (ok. . ok... I admit to taking it to my favorite A/C shop and having them evacuate the system and re-charge with fresh refrigerant and adding a can of ICE32 and she blows ICE-COLDDDDD during our hottest summer on record) no melted wiring... no high-speed wind-noise (not that I drive high-speeds mind you!) :-laf No soft sheet-metal... no hormonal imbalances  ... no pulling-to-the-left... But... I guess that could all change tomorrow eh? Now that I've said something out-loud :(

04 3500 dually pulling a 20K lb trailer most of the time... . first set of pads was at 160K miles... truck now has 206K miles... using the exhaust brake all the time... .

My 05 has 46K miles... and the brakes look like 80% left... . did they show you the pads when they came off... ... .

Yup! I've known the brake shop owner for 25 years... It's nice doing business with trustworthy (re: a known commodity) folks who always take real-good-care of ya, even if they loose money on ya every now-n-then!

I just hate it when people give a plug to a local business(man) when they do good work so I won't mention Mark Thuet's name or that the name of his shop is Mr. Brake. Nope!!! I just won't do it!!! No matter how much you beg and plead... it's just NOT a good idea to spread them pearls 'round... 'Jus keep it to yer-self. Knowhaddamean???

have just under 40k on my 03 3500 DRW 6spd and the front pads have easily 75% or more left. Half of that mileage is loaded and the other half is commuting in Atlanta and a road trip here and there (usually towing)

'03 2500 2wd HO 6speed 3. 73 stock exhaust brake with 56000 miles and about 75 percent of brake pads left on the front. We tow a 11200 lb 5er. My first Dodge/Cummins was a '01 2500 2wd auto exhaust brake 3. 54 with 77000 miles when swapped it off. Still had 60-70 percent brake pads left. Both trucks are all highway miles as I have no city to drive in... ... . JIM
