I will be changing my brake pads this weekend and wanted to know if anyone has any pearls of wisdom. Truck is a 98. 5 4X4 2500 with about 100K. Should I check anything else while im down there?

If you've replaced pads on other rigs you'll find it straight forward and easy. Don't have the rotor turned unless it's scored.

It would be a good idea to lube the caliper mount pins and the places the caliper slides on the mount. If the pins are rough replace them. Get some of the black silicon grease brake lube from NAPA. If the slides on the mount are rough smooth them a little with a file.
