Buddy's SuperDuty can't handle Slide-in (how 'bout a 2nd Gen?)

I just looked at my brake pads and with a 108,000 miles on them they look like they will last at least another year.

About 80,000 of these miles is with my 3500 pound Camper on.

Shouldn't they wear out quicker. What am I doing wrong?

Since you said pads I assume you are refering to the fronts. I would guess you have shoes in the back. If your pads look that good I would definetly check the shoes, I would guess that the rears are doing the majority of braking hence minimal wear in the front. In other words, your brakes are not balanced correctly.

A lot depends on how you drive and keeping your rear brakes adjusted. I've owned several vehicles that I drove over 100K miles towing trailers and hauling campers and never had to replace the front pads until well over 100K miles. I drive conservatively(avoid jack rabbit starts and screeching stops) and kept the rear drum brakes adjusted manually.
