I will be needing new front pads in a couple of months. I have seen the ones advertised at Geno's the price is better than my price at NAPA, but haven't talked to anybody that has, or is running the Geno's pads. If anyone is running them I would appreciate some opinions on them.

Brakes

Hi,

I have tryed all the brakes and found that the

Carbon Kevlar are the best they last about 3 times longer than other brakes, they also cost about 3 times more. You get what you pay for.

I am running a set of the Hawk HPs from Geno's and I am pleased with them. I had a set of the Bendix HD Titaniums that they replaced. They seem to take a little more pressure on the brake pedal but stop better than the Bendix.

I took the Bendix (lifetime warranty) back to the local auto parts store and they exchanged the worn pads for a new set. Now I have spares on the shelf.

Performance Friction Carbon Metalic

I have run Carbon Metalic brake pads on several autos, and found them to be fantastic pads. But, that experience has been limited to high performance cars.

Since I do not mind black dust at all on my wheels, are there any other experiences or cautions out there on these pads when used on our trucks?

I have carquest ceramic pads they last long and no brake dust. Supposed to be same as the oe pad but cheaper:)

There is some TDR member that is suppose to be THE guru on brake pads. Probably can find him with search. He is suppose to be the absolutely best knowledge guy on pads.

The guru is Sam Peterson. And he be the manwhen it comes to brakes! Do a search on this site for his email and/or number, give him a call. Great guy with lots of patience. Sells brake kits as well and will take care of you.
