Was coming home last night from camping when noticed that the brake lites were on and the trailer brakes were humming. Is there an ajustment for the brake petal? The return of the brake petal was not contacting the brake lite switch with out hold up on the petal. At the time i took a bung cord and put it on the petal and the rapped it around the stearing colom problem solved so i could get home, Whats the proper fix?

Bill,

Sorry, no adjustments. Pretty simple replacement, though. The plunger is self adjusting. Make sure that the plunger doesn't get pushed except by the pedal. Once it's pushed you cannot reset it. The switch is what I call a "twist lock" in that it fits in the bracket and then you twist it @ 45* to lock it in place. I've had to replace mine twice.

I install a new switich and had to take the bracket off to install the switch and found that the bracket is slotted so you can ajust the bracket to get it closer to the pedal.
