Have the front brakes on the '93 acting kinda weird. Will pull to the left when I apply... only sometimes! Thought the caliper on the right side may have been weak, so I replaced that tonight and didn't change a thing! Bled that side also. About a month or so ago, I replaced the MC and booster ( booster was bad). Had this problem before that even. Any ideas??

If you brake system checks out ok, hoses included I would look at steering. As my draglink wears it will "pull" kinda like the brakes do depending on the road surface. This is why I will be doing cross over steering with the crew cab conversion.

Always looking for improvement

Dumb question ? What is cross over steering. Works on a first gen ? What does it accomplish ?

Change out the brake hoses on the front, They will sometimes colapse and cause it to pull left or right. mike

Can you tell if one has collapsed without pulling it apart, they "seem" to be firm, no soft spots or anything from the outside.

MM, no, can't usually tell. I was going to say hoses too. I had one do the same thing. On another vehicle I had one go, weird symptoms. Step on the brakes, pull to the left. Let off, pull to the right. Turns out the crimp on the hose rusted, and squeezed the hose almost shut. When the fluid got in, it held the brake on, resulting in the pull when I let off.

Seems OK when cold, once it warms up tp operating temp is when it starts getting a mind of its own. Is it possible the brake fluid gets warm from the engine/ radiator heat and takes on some strange characteristic (sp) ? And yes, just put 2 qts. of fresh, just bought brake fluid through the system and down the driveway and street with the pressure bleeder, so no, bad fluid is definite not the cause. I'll go to the parts place tonight or in the AM and order some hoses I guess.

Update!

Replaced both left and right hoses up front and it apperas to be fine now. Going to get the one in the middle and maybe the ones out back redone here soon also!
