I have heard people with the single piston calipers claim they can lock the front wheels but I don't believe it. I have no idea with the 2 piston calipers but I would love to see it.

It sounds like this brake setup is smoking when you are not even braking. Makes no sense to me.

Only smoked a couple of times coming down a mountain road while towing. Never happened before I got the drilled/slotted rotors. Twin piston calipers were introduced in the 2000 year models.
