just got back in from the garage i took it to this am... back shoes are great actually very little wear, got the drivers side e-cable hooked back up a clip was missing but still not working i think i may have a stretched cable... Im guessing the one that runs from the emergency brake cable back to the adjuster under the bed... .

Well just an update for now, im gone to return the hardware kit, and the 3inch brake shoes i got from napa, the drums that are on the truck will only take the 2. 5 inch shoes, in order for the 12x3 shoes to go on i have to get a bigger drum. IM not worried about that, just now i have piece of mind knowing i for sure have back brakes and good ones... .

They also replaced the boogered up axle nut on the drivers side and im going to get a axle socket for those, plus they replaced the seal in that side, didn't have to do anything to the passenger side.

catch ya later, gotta get before this snow storm hits later today, i still have rear axle fluid to change LOL

The 3" shoes will fit in your Drums, you just have to have them turned so that the ridge worn into them by the 2 1/2" shoes is gone. (Actually it's a groove worn in by the 2 1/2" shoes but it looks more like a ridge) There is no difference in the drums.

I thought a few other members here told me they would fit, but since the 2. 5 shoes are still almost new i will stay with them until they are gone then go to the 3inch shoes and have the drums turned... thanks a bunch
