Any idea of where I can get brakesmart from other than breakesmart themselves. I need to pay with Amex for bussiness and BS does not accept Amex.

I bought mine through Cargo Trailer sales here in Dallas (had them install it as well) and paid with Amex. Here is number for them (972)241-7215

I have the Prodigy and have nothing but praise for it!

I tow daily delivering equipment with trailer weights running from (empty) 2000 lbs to 12,000 loaded. This is when the "Boost" feature is nice, lite load=no boost: 12,000=boost.

The "boost” feature just starts initial power to the brakes higher.

For those that have not read up on the Prodigy, it varies the amount of power going to the brakes based on inertia, the harder you step on the brake pedal the more power it sends the trailer brakes. Also as you come to a stop the controller backs off on the braking power to the trailer making for a very smooth stop.

Braking

Last night I hitched -up my 32ft gooseneck and tested the Brake Smart controller:D :D This controller is Aussome, you will not even know ther is a trailer slowing behind.

I would highly recommend it , Worth every penny it cost.

( You just stop almost like normal )

I first commented that I couldn't justify the extra expense of the BrakeSmart, but after more reading and research, I've decided that it's the controller to have. I have yet to hear one negative comment about it. It's a lot of money, but it sure sounds sweet. :D

It is a bit of an expense, but you also just bought a 30-40 thousand dollar truck. :D It is about double the price of the competitors but believe me, you will not be disappointed. This is what I looked like after using it for a few trips ----> Oo. Hope you enjoy it to.
