My 04. 5 with 27K on it is squealing like crazy, and the pads have very little wear on them. Probably 75% highway miles, and towed maybe 10-12 times in the last year, always being cautious with brake usage. Is anyone else experiencing this? Rotors are still smooth and clean too.

04. 5 2500 Q/C 4x4 48RE, anti spin, 4:10 SLT Wheel liners, Rhino liner, MBRP 304 Cool Duals, aFE stage 2, stainless steps, Mag Hytec DD pan, isspro gauges, and all the special order stuff I could afford:)

I've got just over 18K and mine squeel a bit now. I have been hard on the brakes though and have not checked them yet.

Check the pad thickness for wear. If it is still within specs, you need to take the pads to the grinder and chamfer the edges of them. That will stop the squeeling as long as the rotor does not have keep grooves in it

I wondered if I was nuts, mine is squealing too, have not pulled the wheels yet, waiting for some liners I ordered. My 19K miles are mostly commuting with a few thousand towing, didn't expect brakes to be needing replacement this soon. I do get a lot of copper dust on the wheels which is why I ordered the liners.

Some brake noise is normal. Remember brakes a friction and friction creates noise and heat. You need to pull your calipers off and check the condition of the pads. If they still have plenty of meat left, chamfer the outsides of the pads on the grinder, reinstalled and a lot of the noise will disappear...
