I am experiencing periodic brake surge primarily when unloaded. I have installed powerstop crossdrilled rotors and performed a standard brake job in the rear. I initially thought I had warped the factory rotors (which I had, but not as much as I expected) towing my wife's horses. I installed a BD brake and the powerstops as an overkill solution (I have Powerstops on two other vehicles that had truly marginal factory brakes and highly recommend them). While the brake surge from the slightly warped rotors disappeared immediately, it soon became apparent that I was getting a periodic surge in the front that feels alot like the antilock surge I sometimes experience in the rear when leaning on the brakes unloaded, however it is more consistant like warped rotors The odd part about this is that it is INTERMITANT and usually occurs when lightly applying the brakes while unloaded and is definitely coming from the front. Has anyone else experienced this?

FASTERTHANU... Would it be possible to pull the rotors out of shape if the lug nuts are not torqued with a torque wrench?

Absolutely right, however I use a snap-on torque wrenches on everything. This problem is intermittant (sooner or later I'll spell it right).
